I retired 2 years ago approximately, and was leading a pretty healthy lifestyle, or so I thought. I was going to my local gym 3 times a week, I stopped drinking during the week not a lot in the first place. Healthy diet, walking around 8 to 10 thousand steps per day. Never smoked, reversed my type two diabetes, non medication, so thought I was doing ok. Then bang, out of nowhere I had a heart attack. QEUH 9 days, staff were fabulous and sent home as an outpatient, then the Golden Jubilee for two stents.
Referred to the cardio team at the QEUH. I have to say that was the best thing that happened. The staff are superb and very supportive, they really know what they’re doing and I feel I have advanced positively with their knowledge and understanding and help. They are a great team and they are doing a fantastic job.
Kind regards
