My GP advised that I call for an Ambulance after I put my back out and was unable to move from my bed. I did not want to call for an Ambulance as I know the pressures on our Healthcare system however I had no choice after my sister and husband were unable to move me. Whilst I had to wait a number of hours for it to arrive the two Paramedics who did come were amazing ( Davy and Joanne). They showed me compassion and took their time in my house ensuring I was not moved until my pain was under control. When we arrived at the hospital we had to wait a number of hours outside before I could be seen. They ensured I was comfortable and my pain was managed the whole time. Paramedics do a fantastic job in a frontline service. Davy and Joanne made me feel listened to and clearly demonstrated the Trust’s core values for ensuring a high standard of patient care.
