"Above and beyond the call of duty"

About: Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Patient care services

(as a service user),

Alana and Louise from JK, working for NIAS arrived in plenty of time to bring me to my hospital appointment. Such lovely ladies. They were approached by a member of the public with a concern for the welfare of one of my neighbours. They were brilliant, tried to get an answer from the property.  They ended up having to call the PSNI. They then waited for them to arrive before bringing me to my appointment. I really applaud their professionalism and care. We had a good chat on the way there and home again so I felt entirely at ease. I am really impressed with how they dealt with this situation.  Above and beyond the call of duty.

Good afternoon hsmith970,

Thank you for taking the time to share your valued feedback. We are always grateful to those who share their experiences of the services they have received. It was heartening to learn of the professionalism and care displayed by Alana and Louise. They truly did go above and beyond the call of duty. Feedback such as this lifts the morale of the whole organisation.

Best wishes

Neil
