I was sent for a colonoscopy as the routine bowel screening program had discovered blood in my stool sample. The appointment was changed twice but each time I was reassured and the explanation given as to why it needed changed.
The professional and efficient care started the minute I had to collect my pre-colonoscopy preparation: the lady was lovely, chatty and walked me along to where I would be scoped. On the day of the scope everything was clearly and calmly explained to me by Nina (the nurse) and it was lovely that she popped in after the scope to find out how I was doing too.
Dr Wilson and his theatre nurse were professional, reassuring, explained everything clearly, answered my questions calmly, as well as being kind and caring, exactly what I needed during a procedure I was dreading and to a certain extent, embarrassed about.
Thank you for making it easier than I thought it was going to be!
