"Information board"

About: Queen Victoria Hospital (East Grinstead) / Minor Injuries Unit

(as a service user),

Went to MIU at 17:20 with an elderly relative who had cut her leg.  At the time, the information board at reception said a 2.5 to 3 hour wait.  Waited in the waiting room until around 18:00 then went to the toilet and saw that the information on the board had changed to 'Triage only, signposting to other services'.  Thought this felt a bit early as MIU does not close until 20:00.  As it turns out, my elderly relative was seen around 19:00 and treated very well by MIU member of staff, so we left more than happy.

I can understand if it is getting towards closing time for such a message to be put onto the information board, however this seemed unreasonably early.

In relation to the information on the board, your comments have been forwarded to the manager of MIU for her information
