"Now I can't get an appointment"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Orthopaedics Physiotherapy / Physiotherapy Outpatients

(as a service user),

My first appointment for Physio in July was cancelled by letter and I was given a new one for the beginning of Aug (also by letter).

Also, on the day of the appointment, I received a phone call from a staff member at the hospital asking me, if I had cancelled the that appointment. I did not cancel this as I had just returned from holiday. They were confused and suggested there was an error and would call back. When they called back they confirmed that both that appointment and the one at the beginning of August were cancelled and gave me a new appointment for August at the New Victoria for Physio.

I attended on the day to be informed that I had failed to attend the previous appointment in July for the Orthopedic Consultant. This was the first time I had heard about this appointment and was given a letter to say I had been removed from the waiting list. I never received a letter regarding this appointment.

I am disappointed and frustrated at the way I have been treated by staff in such a dismissive manner, when I was not at fault. I still need treatment and have been informed I now need to be re-referred to Orthopedics. As this was not my mistake I would hope a new appointment could be made soon.

I look forward to hearing the response.
