"Positive feedback about hip op"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as a service user),

Hi just some positive feedback I had a Hip Operation recently and just wanted to say my visit to the National Treatment Centre Kirkcaldy was nothing short of fantastic from the pre op meeting with Dr Shenoy and then  right up  to the  actual surgery.

I immediately felt at ease the minute arrived first with the Admin team Steph and her colleagues .

Then onto the ward that day did go very quickly I remember getting changed into the gown then onto the bed some medication was administered then I was taken through theatre counting from 10 down the way I think I got to 6 and then wakening up in the recovery ward.

I remember waking to the best tea  and toast I ever tasted.

Got to say joking apart all the staff from start to finish were fantastic absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

Dr Shenoy, Ian the anaesthetist, Davy , Chad , Kerry and Morgan of the ward those are the ones I remember but there was  too many to mention, they  were all amazing .

It  felt more like a hotel rather than a hospital visit.

10 weeks later had my meeting with Dr Shenoy and all good so far.

Thanks.

Dear Norym75,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback following your recent hip operation at the National Treatment Centre. We are pleased to hear that your experience, from pre-operative assessment through to follow-up, was positive and that you felt well supported throughout your care.

Your kind comments about both individual staff members and the wider team will be shared with them, as it is always encouraging to know their work makes a difference. We’re also glad to hear the tea and toast after surgery was a highlight for you!

We wish you a continued and speedy recovery.

Andrea Bendowski
