"Excellent service"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Ear, Nose and Throat

(as a service user),

I had to attend Kettering General Hospital ENT Department in my wheelchair.

The staff were extremely kind, thoughtful and helpful from the get go. One of the sections had been closed at short notice, but a member of staff managed to get an alternative solution sorted out for me, which I was very grateful for.

The Reception staff were kind and personable and I particularly appreciated the main ENT receptionist looking me in the eye whilst I was sat in my wheelchair rather than talking to my husband over me.

The Nursing Assistant to the Doctor was absolutely lovely, she put me at my ease, was kind, caring and had a genuine smile. She helped my husband with my wheelchair when I got out and back in.

The ENT Registrar Doctor was thorough, a good listener, personable, professional and kind. I felt safe and reassured. This was overall an excellent experience as far as visiting a hospital goes!
