I have bee trying to speak to a healthcare professional about the increased symptoms in am experiencing from a long term condition. The first contact with the 3W Health practice was in June.
I had an appointment cancelled twice and was sent a booking link. This booking link was to make another appointment to be triaged by a healthcare professional. I phoned the surgery to ask why i needed to go round the loop again and an appointment was made for extended hour for 1 week in the future. The appointment happened in August. I was then promptly sent a link to book an appointment for a procedure. The earliest appointment to book was mid September.
In total from first contact to a resolved outcome will have taken 3 months. Luckily the condition can be managed with daily pain relief. This is the longest time i have ever had to wait for a resolution at this surgery which has previously been outstanding.
My question what is causing the drop in service? Are there enough staff? Has the demand suddenly increased? What is being done to get the practice back on track? My expectation for a non-urgent problem to be resolved is 4-6 weeks. This has not been met on this occaision.
