"Radiotherapy for prostate cancer"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Radiotherapy

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer following an initial blood test in January 2025. This came as a shock as I had absolutely no symptoms.

I have just completed four weeks of daily radiotherapy. From start to finish the consultants and nursing staff at ARI have been excellent. They were professional, showed empathy and also humour.

Dear browsereb57

Thank you for taking time to share your story with us. It is always good to hear that staff are so well thought of by our patients. I will ensure they are made aware that you found them to be professional, excellent and empathetic - alongside showing humour, which can be difficult during what is a difficult and challenging time for patients.

Feedback is always welcome and we appreciate you sharing your experience with us!

kind regards
