"They helped me find myself again"

I was referred to the family support hub in East Kilbride, following an attempted overdose to end my life. 

I was initially taken on by Louise, I was very nervous at working with social work but I need not have been. Louise very quickly became an advocate for me and helped me navigate things which i felt like I couldn't handle, i.e drs appointments, health issues, school appointments, housework! Things which had seemed impossible to me!  

I worked with Louise for a long time then, Chloe. Chloe quickly became a part of my family and helped bolster my confidence so I was in a place I could actually advocate for myself. I was signposted to services I never knew existed and made to feel like I had a voice again. Even now that I have been signed off from the service, the family support hub will always be there for me and I look fondly back on the time they helped me find myself again. Myself and my children are eternally grateful.
