"Chaotic disorganised wait in A&E"

Awful experience whilst waiting in A/E in the early hours until later the following afternoon.

Shambolic, chaotic, dirty, no privacy. Medics were great, explained everything and organised two scans but the nurses I saw were lacking in empathy somewhat! I could hardly stand properly as was in pain but was told rather brusquely to go to staff room to ask for pain relief. Quite awkward when you’re sleep deprived, dehydrated and in pain. Not sure why the onus is on the patients for this!

Communication very poor between staff. A couple of the HCA’s were lovely, went out of their way to support elderly patients, very kind.
