A word of thanks.
Some 3 weeks ago I had a very bad bout of food poisoning, brought about by my using an out of date carton of orange juice. Symptoms lasted 3+ days, effects included weakness and disorientation plus the inability to pass water.
A friend called the surgery to seek help and I received a quick phone call from a doctor in triage who said I would be visited by someone from the Frailty Team - which Id never heard of! Miraculously a doctor and a nurse arrived within the hour, carried out various tests and gave advice on recuperation. They visited on two further occasions, finally signing me off with the warning that the level of recovery would be very slow. They were quite right as I still feel quite lacking in energy, could sleep for England and for some reason, my post-Covid balance problem seems to have worsened. However the Team visits were very helpful, much appreciated, and I've just seen through my 98th birthday, so progress must be in the right direction.
My purpose in writing is just to record my grateful thanks for the prompt attention given me by the surgery and the team which made me feel someone was concerned with my situation. Very comforting.
"Grateful thanks for prompt attention"
