"There seems to be far too much bureaucracy"

About: Fife Community Services / Immunisation Service

(as a service user),

My husband and myself went to Primrose road Immunisation clinic in Rosyth.

We got our jabs immediately. However, we think there is far too much bureaucracy - pieces of paper to cover the NHS and asking of questions.

Ask people to read a poster on the wall in big letters saying that you may suffer a runny nose, headache etc the next day and if it persists contact your gp surgery would suffice. You could just give out the hazard descriptor from the immunisation pack.

We were the only people being immunised at the time, but there were 6 nhs staff on duty. In our opinion the service seems grossly overstaffed. Maybe you could use some of these staff as carers.

Good afternoon LucyLoo,

Thank you very much for taking the time to feedback to us. Pre and Post immunisation information is a legal requirement. The immunisation service works within the GP practice in Primrose Lane and we only allocate two immunisation nurses per shift.

I am keen to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to contact me at karen.stein@nhs.scot.

Many thanks.
