"Went in for Prep"

About: Sexual Health Services - South Staffordshire (Open Clinic)

(as a service user),

Got told I would have to wait 6 weeks for it, would have been nice to know before booking appointment and travelling up as made whole thing pointless

Hi Woodpigeonj35

My name is Suzie Sellberg and I am one of the Openclinic Nurse Team Leaders. Thank you for sending in your feedback; I am really sorry you are understandably frustrated. I am not sure which clinic you attended but I am happy to look into what has happened. Our telephone staff are not able to advise on clinical queries when patients are booking appointments, and there can sometimes be clinical reasons why we delay starting PREP. However, I would expect the clinician to have provided an explanation for the delay. I am very keen to look into this if you would like me to. Please do not hesitate to contact me by email: suzanne.sellberg@mpft.nhs.uk, or by phone: 07773 192080.
