"Many thanks to the team"

About: Older people's mental health / Community mental health - Andover

(as a service user),

I am in my 70s , live alone as a tenant of 'social housing' 3 floor house.

Have a lifetime history of anxiety/depression.  unhappy child with poor parenting experience, poor social/personal skills.  had many jobs after poor school record.

Post school I managed to achieve a higher education.   Many contacts with medical services + CBT that was extremely useful for me,.

I have had a number of concerns. I had had a robotic radical  p mastectomy in 2020 - 6 months to gain  urine continence.  Suspected Igc Kappa Myeloma March 2025.  Blood cancer - longstanding anaemia, gastrological issues, hypertension,  hypercholesterolemia, IBS, my confusion and memory came on suddenly but my age is a factor.  Very poor life management skills and leg swelling due to heart failure?  Poor and unpredictable mobility ability.  Walking with sticks and taking the stairs one step  and then having a  rest.  Steroids seems to have increased appetite but weight gain is unpredictable.  Energy levels, cognitive ability reduced dramatically.  Sleeping had unpredictable issues,.

Care services have interviewed and supported me with incredible professionalism and sensitivity.  I am aware that social support is in great demand and must be targeted to those of most urgency.  Also many strands are working together to help me best with my care needs.  I very much value this safety net of new friendly faces who obviously love what they do with energy and kindness/understanding.  I am looking forward to achieving the best I can with help and to planning the future to do things I can, and looking forward to some joy and fulfilment with the projects I choose to tackle.  Many thanks to the teams involved.
