"The group education sessions have been really helpful"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Pulmonary Rehabilitation

(as a service user),

Really useful! It's spurred me on to exercise. The group education sessions have been really helpful even although I have over 20 years of experience with  my lung condition I have still picked things up such as using a fan to help my breathing.

Dear funnytc79

Thank you for taking the time to provide Care Opinion feedback regarding your experience at the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is one of the most important interventions for people living with chronic lung disease so it is great to hear that attending the programme has spurred you on to to exercise.

Continuing with exercise is also so important to maintain your strength and lung health so I hope we have motivated you to continue beyond the class programme.

Improving patients knowledge of how to best manage their condition is a known benefit of Pulmonary Rehabilitation so it is great to hear that even with your 20 years history of living with COPD we were still able to help you.

Wishing you all the very best for your future and thanks again,

Kindest Regards,

Kirsty Murray

My condition is an ILD rather than COPD, but I’m sure there are plenty of commonalities of symptoms for sufferers.
