"Nothing short of exemplary"

We would like to say how simply wonderful the Staff of Balgonie Ward, Cameron Hospital, Leven, Fife, have been whilst caring for our relative (a wife, mother and grandmother) who passed away recently

Whilst she had been on the Ward for over three months, the care she received had been nothing short of exemplary. Not only did the Staff care for her, but the kindness, respect and caring shown to us, her family, has been nothing short of marvellous and above and beyond anyone’s expectations.

From our experience, both past and present, NHS Fife Staff as a whole have always performed to an extremely high standard, but the Balgonie Ward Staff have managed to take this to another level of excellence.

She was our family’s tour de force. Always there to help anyone and everyone; a fabulous cook, especially her baking; and she was willing and able to turn her hand to pretty much anything. She worked hard throughout her life, latterly as an Auxiliary Nurse until she retired in 2004.

She will be missed by all those who met her, called her their friend and most of all by us who truly loved her.
