"Compassionate end of life care"

About: Bluestone Unit (In-patient wards for mental health) / Gillis Ward

(as a relative),

My husband, Peter, spent the last year of his life with the lovely people who run the Gillis Ward.

I was unable to see him due to my own illness for a good part of the summer of '24. I did not worry about Peter as I knew he was in good hands.

He used to sit with us for a while then go and sit with the nurses, it was obvious that he was happy in their company.

Family could not have given the amount of care and attention he was receiving. Grateful we got to bring out dog Molly to visit.

Thank you all so much, Dr Foster, Dr Ciara, all nursing staff.
