Dear All
I hope you are all well.
I have received a prescription of 28x Ramipril 1.25mg capsules - Take one daily without any notification from anyone at the surgery.
It is very easy for me to read the instructions and look up online what Ramipril is used for.
As my blood pressure has been high recently and was last taken by the nurse on a recent morning during a blood test I trusted that it had been prescribed because of the results.
I am just letting you know in case you might want to change your procedure when you have to prescribe drugs to a patient quickly; bearing in mind this was delivered within hours of my appointment, you might want to send them a 'text' or make a phone call to let them know.
This would alleviate any query or worry a patient may experience when receiving a prescription without any notice from the surgery.
Other than that I can only thank you as always for your rapid response which is highly commendable.
This follows a very informative Diabetic appointment I had the other week after which Sonia, your Practice Manager, noticed a bloody plaster on my left arm. She immediately checked that. Casey, your new nurse, was free and took me down for a wound check and dressing as I am diabetic.
Casey not only dressed the wound but also looked at a 'sore' that had developed on my right hip where my replacement hip was causing pressure on my skin as I sleep on my right hand side.
She applied a padded dressing to this and recommended I change my sleeping position.
I had a blood test booked for the Friday and she added another appointment to change the dressing.
I am in total awe of the fantastic treatment I receive from Blyth's Meadow Surgery and just wanted to send a big 'Thank You' for the excellent care I receive and have received over the years.
"The excellent care I receive"
