"Superb staff and care after heart attack"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiac Catherterisation

(as the patient),

Heart attack was an emergency. I was in a lot of pain and scared. Staff, who had been called in from home, were superb. I needed a stent. They explained everything and I felt completely reassured and safe.

After 10 days, I experienced pain and was admitted to Wishaw. Then transferred a week later to Hairmyres for another angiogram to confirm all was ok.

Again, staff were superb.

Dear Ellgee68

Thank you for sharing your experience. It certainly can be a very worrying time when you experience sudden and painful symptoms. I am pleased to read that you felt reassured and safe when having a stent fitted.

Feedback such as yours is important to both staff and patients alike and is much appreciated.

Kind regards

Lise
