"I couldn’t have asked for better care"

I was admitted to the Combined Assessment Unit (CAU) at University Hospital, Ayr, 3 months ago, with a very low blood count. I was assessed and treated by Dr Ben, who was very professional and showed me every care and compassion. He referred me for a number of investigations on discharge and recently recalled me to CAU for a consultation and discussion of the results. 

Ben spent considerable time explaining the results of the investigations and offering me options for treatment. He was very focussed on my views for future treatment, listening carefully to what I had to say and not rushing through the consultation.
