"Glad that I had finally sought medical advice"

For a long time I had noticed a patch of hard skin on the sole of my foot , I tried using an emery board to get rid of it but it didn’t go away and gradually began to be painful especially when I stood barefoot  : (

It was difficult to see the area properly because it was on the sole of my left foot 

After 2 years I made an appointment to see practice nurse , she asked me about the problem then took a look .  Straightaway she confirmed that I have a verruca .  She told me it is treatable but can take time to go away ( up to 12 weeks )  She explained how to use the Gel treatment every evening and that I must take great care not to get the Gel on healthy skin .  She was calm and patient , I felt reassured and felt glad that I had finally sought medical advice .
