I brung my little girl into the hospital for an X-ray because she could not walk, she collapsed when trying to stand.
My little girl went for an X-ray and they told me there was nothing wrong it was just strained and I was to try and get her to walk on it to relax the strain. Little did we know we were trying to put pressure on her leg to then get a phone call on the Tuesday from the Vic hospital in Kirkcaldy to let us know it was a fracture in her leg and not put any pressure on it.
My little girl was really struggling with this and was getting more upset the more pressure we were trying to put on it before we got the phone call on Tuesday. So Tuesday came and we took her into the hospital for another X-ray to find out it wasn’t a fracture it was a break! So my 4 year old daughter had to get a full leg cast on and crutches to try walk again.
I felt furious and upset to the fact that the NHS staff gave us false information and upset to the fact I was pressuring my daughter to walk to relax a “strain”, when infact it was a broken leg!
I felt guilty and upset to be let down by the NHS staff.
"Incorrect information given after multiple X-rays"
