"The staff were very kind"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

My son had an incident at home and required to go to A&E to be assessed. The staff were very kind and we were seen as promptly as we could have been. We had a lovely nurse called Annie and Student named Zoe that went out of there way to make my son as comfortable as possible.

There was also a lovely HCSW that went out her way to make  my son feel better after getting blood taken. The doctor that reviewed us was very calm and explained everything well without any judgement about our situation. It definitely made a stressful situation a lot easier.

Dear sflem

Thank you for sharing your experience on Care Opinion.

We’re so pleased to hear that our A&E team were able to support you and your son with kindness and compassion during what must have been a stressful time. It’s wonderful to know that Annie, Zoe, our healthcare support worker, and the doctor all helped to make the visit as reassuring and comfortable as possible.

We’ll make sure your kind words are passed on to them, and to the wider team, who will be delighted to know the difference their care made to you both.

Wishing your son a smooth recovery.

Kind regards

Kevin
