"A six and a half week old baby with Viral Meningitis"

It was a very worrying time. My daughter and son in law were bringing my granddaughter to Fife for the first time and within hours she had a roaring temperature. They brought her into the children's ward at Kirkcaldy where she got exemplary care. It was a rollercoaster of a ride and luckily it turned out she had viral meningitis and not bacterial. Anyway the staff were amazing for lots of reasons, mainly peace of mind, they were calm and efficient (we weren't feeling very calm). A special shout to two exceptional members of staff Natasha and the Registrar male doctor (dark hair and glasses) who were emphatic, efficient, just made us feel a whole load better - they were great at explaining things. Thank you
