After having my baby i was really struggling to establish breastfeeding, I was also having difficulty accepting my baby's down's syndrome diagnosis. My health visitor suggested I attend the Strathaven breastfeeding group, after some apprehension I went along and it was the best thing I ever did. I gained valuable information from my peers, made new friendships which I hope will last forever and the Health Visitor Donna was amazing, it gave me something to look forward to every week. My son is now 11 months old and our breastfeeding journey continues, I'm so glad we persevered and I never would have had it not been for the women at the breastfeeding group.
