"My Daughter's Autism diagnosis"

About: Doncaster CAMHS / Getting Help

(as a parent/guardian),

My 12-year-old daughter has recently received an Autism diagnosis with a referral for the ADHD pathway.

When Dr Birdi met my daughter, she was extremely warm and welcoming, this put her at ease, especially as she is so anxious.

The assessment went very well and I was informed my daughter had engaged well.

Dr Birdi also commented on what a pleasure it had been to speak to her. The feedback from my daughter was that she felt somewhat at ease through the assessment and did not feel pressured.

When we received her Autism diagnosis, there was a lot of compassion, understanding, empathy and most of all positivity about all her strengths and skills.

We felt extremely supported.

Their findings from the assessment were delivered to us in a very caring manner.

I particularly liked how Dr Birdi engaged with my daughter and spoke to her. Thank you.

Hi horologiumwt68

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback for Dr Birdi, we will make sure she sees it.

Ensuring our young people and families feel supported is key to us, so I'm so pleased Dr Birdi was able to achieve that.

Thank you once again

Emily
