"Friendly and efficient care at A&E"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I have had to attend A&E with my daughter twice this week. On both occasions we were greeted warmly by staff and triaged within 10 minutes.

The care from all nurses and Drs was excellent, and my teenage daughter felt listened to and reassured. She was admitted for further assessment and felt involved in her care and everything explained to her.

Thank you so much to all the staff that work so hard to keep the standard of care high in such a challenging time to the NHS with staff shortage and sickness creating pressure on the staff working hard.

Dear lrar77

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind feedback following your visits to our Emergency Department with your daughter. We are so pleased to hear that you were greeted warmly, triaged promptly, and that your daughter felt listened to, reassured, and fully involved in her care.

Your comments about the nurses and doctors providing excellent care, and taking the time to explain everything clearly, mean a great deal. Our teams work hard, particularly during these challenging times with staff shortages and increased pressures, and it is very encouraging for them to know that their efforts are having such a positive impact.

We will make sure your thanks are shared with the staff involved in your daughter’s care. We hope she is now feeling much better, and we are grateful for your thoughtful words of appreciation.

Kind regards

Kevin
