"they could not have done more for mum"

About: The Ulster Hospital / Ward 3A

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to Ulster hospital. She had terminal cancer but was admitted with an infection. From the very beginning of her stay her care was fantastic. The staff on ward 3a were compassionate, patient, flexible and attentive. I couldn’t have asked for a calmer, kinder environment for mum.

Sadly she didn’t get home but my brother and I are so grateful for the level of care she was given by all members of the team - the palliative nurse, the nutritionist, the doctors, nurses even the cleaning staff had a little chat in passing. It was truly exceptional - the staff accommodated a brief communion which was so important to mum and they allowed us to sneak in early when it became clear she wouldn’t get home -they could not have done more for mum ( or us!)

Hi Scorpio2

I am so sorry for the loss of your mum, I am sure you miss her deeply.

Thank you for taking the time to share that lovely feedback with us and I am so glad we were able to support your mum and your family so compassionately at such a difficult time for you all.

I will share it with the whole team, it will encourage them to know they are doing well.

Kind Regards

Emma
