"Some staff need better people skills"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

When we arrived the receptionist was very offhand. Receptionist hardly looked at us when speaking, asking questions in a robotic manner.

When we asked anything they were very abrupt.  Also a nurse had a similar attitude.

The doctor was excellent.

Dear Skegness,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your attendance to the Emergency Department. I can only apologise for the communication and mannerisms of staff in the department this day, this is not what we expect of our department or staff and I will make sure this is feedback this back to our staff in order to improve our patient experiences within the emergency department.
On the other hand I am pleased that you have had a good experience with the doctor and he was able to help you whilst you was with us in the department.
