I have nothing but praise for the whole team of staff in ward 8c. My partner spent the last months of his life here.
The team gave him nothing but the highest standard of care who got him through some very difficult health issues and kept trying until it was time to take a more palliative approach. The consultants cared deeply about managing symptoms and caring for him with kindness.
Dr Fraser had been his consultant for a long time through the progression of his liver cirrhosis, the high standard of care and compassion through the years I am certain gave him a quality of life. Sister Mullen and her team were attentive and you could tell they work so well together.
The palliative care team involved with his care were fantastic. I need to give Judith and Holly a special mention, was always lovely to see them when they visited and diligent management of symptoms and pain.
At what was a very difficult time, it was reassuring he got the best care.
"Outstanding multidisciplinary care"
