"I cannot speak highly enough about my experience"

I recently attended Wishaw General hospital at the Day Surgery department for an operation on my thumb following an accident I had while cutting a fallen tree in my garden. I was using a handsaw to cut branches from a fallen tree in my garden and during the cutting, the saw slipped and caught the top of my right thumb. The wound cut the skin and also part of my tendon. I attended Hairmyres A&E & received treatment where it was identified that I needed to see a hand surgeon.

I attended the day surgery unit at Wishaw and had the best treatment, support and attention before during and after my operation.

All the staff were absolutely fabulous during my time in the unit including the staff on the ward and all the theatre staff who all put me at ease before, during and after the op.

I cannot speak highly enough about my experience and I am extremely grateful that everything went well.
