"Compassion for patients and mis communication"

Saw the doctor after blood test results.  Confirmed I am  'diabetic '. I informed him I wanted to control my weight and diabetes with Mounjaro and exercise. A prescription was issued to my pharmacist,  I returned home to find, no needles or a sharps bin, had been prescribed. I contacted Watton medical practice and was told by the receptionist, after speaking to the Doctor, a separate prescription would be issued and sent to the pharmacy by tomorrow early afternoon. 

The next day, on arriving at the pharmacy late afternoon., I'm informed the 2nd prescription had not been issued. I go to the surgery, see receptionist and informed them about the issue. They went off to see a doctor, came back, and said this other doctor  was not getting involved as a different doctor had issued the original prescription and that I had a appointment tomorrow with a Nurse who will discuss how to administer the injection, so still no prescription! The script issuing doctor I first saw. Had told me, to look on you tube to see how to take the drug.

So why do I need to take up a Nurses valuable time?.

My wife attended my appointment and can confirm every word that was spoken as I am partially deaf. I asked the receptionist this evening what was their complaint procedure, to which I was informed why would you want to complain you are seeing the nurse tomorrow .  I never got the answer to my question and left, informing them I will complain and also report it on social media. I then left  with elevated blood pressure as that it seems is all they could give me!

I will attend the appointment tomorrow but doubt very much I will be taken seriously. So, this practice is supposed to be a professional body serving the whole of Watton and surrounding areas for the NHS. This is not the first time I have had cause for complaint reference Watton medical practice. As for Total Health pharmacy , they are first rate with care and compassion for patients.  If only Watton medical practice could do the same.
