I was admitted to Crosshouse Hospital due to an ectopic pregnancy and underwent an emergency laparoscopy. The expertise and speed with which I was treated ensured a successful outcome, despite the added complication of a rupture.
From the very beginning, my partner and I received the very best of care from all of staff that we encountered, from receptionists to sonographers, housekeeping to doctors and nurses. This helped to keep us calm and feel reassured in what was a scary and unexpected situation.
I was admitted via EPAS and was then transferred to the care of Dr Beatty and the OB/GYN team, all of whom were just wonderful in every way. I felt completely valued and cared for, and wholeheartedly trusted every decision that was being made, from start to finish.
Dr Beatty came to see me to provide a thorough debrief following the surgery and provided great follow up care too. The lovely nurse from EPAS (I think her name was Lea) who did my surgery prep the day before, also came to check in on me, which was very much appreciated and went above and beyond.
I’m sorry this has taken so long to complete, but I cannot thank the staff of Crosshouse Hospital EPAS and OB/GYN enough for saving my life and for looking after me so well. Every one of you are incredible and I’m forever indebted. Thank you for everything.
