"The respect I received was second to none"

About: Ayrshire & Arran Community Services / Sexual Health

(as a service user),

As for many, it can be daunting going for a sexual health check up. But as a trans person, this anxiety can be off the scale.  However, the respect I received at The Gatehouse Ayr on Glenmuir Place was second to none. I was made to feel safe, understood and cared for by Leanne. We also discussed PREP which I mentioned should be spoken about more openly and not confined to "cis gay men" as hiv can be contracted by anyone, any gender, anywhere. Let's break the stigma and stay safe.
