"Kind, caring and efficient"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

Was referred to gastroenterology by my GP. Was contacted in lightning quick time and offered a cancellation appointment that same week.

From start to finish, every member of staff was kind, caring and efficient. Special mention to the nurse (Sheila I think) who was very kind when I crashed a bit after having the cannula put in.

Procedure itself went very smoothly and I felt everything was explained clearly. Received initial report on the day. Toast and butter never tasted so good after fasting since the previous day!

Thanks to all the staff for making an unfamiliar procedure so straightforward!

Dear MM82

Thank you for taking time to feedback about your recent visit to Endoscopy here at Queen Margaret. I was delighted to read that your journey had been such a positive one and also so prompt from your first visit to the GP.

How all the staff were professional but still friendly giving you the reassurance that you were in good hands. Communication is a major part of nursing, keeping our patients well informed about every step of their journey helps to build a strong rapport between them.

It will give me great pleasure to pass your very kind comment on to the team especially those who you have mentioned. I also agree that the tea and toast before heading home is comforting

Wishing you a speedy recovery

Ann Walker

Senior Charge Nurse
