"Foreign body removal from ear"

About: Royal Victoria Hospital / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as a parent/guardian),

My 11 year old son attended hospital today to have some polystyrene balls removed from his ear. The whole experience was really positive for both him as a patient and me as a parent. The whole team of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants and all other staff members were so professional and compassionate from start to finish and neither myself or my son could’ve asked for a better experience.

Coming into the hospital has been a source of anxiety for my son after difficult experiences in the past however the level of compassionate care he received today has allowed him to leave with a better and more positive view and has greatly reduced his anxiety. I couldn’t be more thankful and grateful to the team of professionals who looked after us both today.

Dear puppisnk95

Thank you for sharing the experience of yourself and your son whilst attending the Children's Ear Outpatients Clinic recently. All of the Clinic staff strive to ensure patients are treated with compassion and professionalism whilst in their care. They will be delighted to hear your positive feedback.

I hope your son recovers well after his unfortunate incident.

Kind regards

Wendy Dobbin
