"Great care received following a stroke"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Stroke care (Wards 56 and 68)

(as the patient),

I received treatment and care from QEUH  following a stroke.

I was transferred to Ward 56 Stroke Rehab unit  and was there for just under 2 weeks.

The care I received was excellent from all the different workers in the ward.

I was very impressed with the activities arranged to help keep everyone positive while there, including entertainment from dancers and an accordionist coming into the dayroom, and cinema evenings.

Staff also arranged the a celebration cake for my birthday and decorated the dayroom for my family to celebrate my birthday with me.

I would like to thank all the staff - the ward nurses but also all the other staff arranging activities, cleaning, bringing meals, the doctor in the ward and blood pressure clinic involvement.

Dear IMCHC

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay in Ward 56.

I will pass you kind comments on to the Senior Charge Nurse who will share with the team.

We wish you all the best in your recovery at home.

Kind Regards,

Rebecca Fulton, Interim Clinical Service Manager, Older People & Stroke
