About: Maternity care / Maternity Triage Maternity care / Midwife Led Unit

(as the patient),

I attended maternity triage at the VHK for reduced foetal movement. Despite it clearly being a busy night the team saw us swiftly and made efforts to ensure we didn’t have to wait long. Ellie (from MLU) had such a lovely manner, talked us through everything and such  a positive energy.

We were made to feel at ease during a potentially concerning time. We were also reviewed by the registrar on overnight, Kane. He was professional, approachable and listened to our concerns with no judgement. He was reassuring that all was well but if there was anything else that we were worried about we knew we could come back/seek advice.

It was also lovely to be offered tea/biscuits by the HCSW (sorry missed name!) to try and make the stay more pleasant.

It’s so reassuring to know this is the team that are there to support pregnant people in our community.

Dear KH25, thank you for taking the time to provide the team in triage with such positive feedback, it is greatly appreciated. The team will be so pleased to receive this. I am glad you have been reassured and please do contact the team again at any time if you experience anything similar. We are wishing you the best for the remainder of your pregnancy, many thanks again
