"Worth their weight in gold"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Critical Care Unit / Medical High Dependancy Unit University Hospital Wishaw / Maternity Care

(as a service user),

I recently gave birth to my daughter.

After giving birth I suffered a PPH and lost 40% of my bloody and had to receive blood transfusions, fluids etc and ended up in the High Dependency Unit at UHW. It was a horrible time and with the help of everyone doctors, anaesthetists, midwives, nurses I’m still here to tell the time. The aftercare was second to none as I even had the amazing people come to visit me after their shifts were over and even my own community midwife come to visit me in hospital on her day off. And any time of day or night they were there for me if I needed to cry they sat with me; comforted me, nothing was ever too much.

For the rest of my life I will be forever grateful to those people and in my eyes they are all angels and worth their weight in gold.

THANK YOU!

Dear NMP91,

Thank you for your really lovely feedback for all the staff involved in your care.

I was really pleased to hear that you were so well cared for and supported during a really difficult time after the birth of your baby daughter and also post natally too. We are very proud of all the staff and know that they go above and beyond. We will let them know the difference that they madefor you and your family.

I hope that you are on the mend now, recovering and settling into family lfe with your little one.

Thank you once again for taking the time to post this.

Take care

Carole Burns
