"Cleanliness and use of toilet facilities"

About: Royal Cornhill Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

Went to use the toilet facilities at main entrance tonight. Female and Male toilets locked as per usual same as always no matter what time of day or night you go to use them, has been for months now.

Receptionist said there is only access to Disabled toilet, this toilet is absolutely disgusting, left unclean, very dirty and not fit to use. This seems to be the normal for this toilet. Really disappointed that these facilities can’t be used by visitors. Also toilets along the corridor is also locked. When will the main toilets reopen ?

Dear lovefy97

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about the inconvenience you faced, and we agree that what you described is not acceptable.

We take all feedback seriously, as it helps us identify areas for improvement. Due to ongoing issues, we’ve had to implement control measures, including locking the two main toilets. We understand this may cause frustration, and we’re actively reviewing the situation to find a better balance between accessibility and maintaining standards.

The disabled toilet is regularly inspected and cleaned, and we will continue to monitor its condition closely. Based on your feedback, we will explore additional control measures to ensure all facilities meet the standards our patients and visitors deserve.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention

Julia
