"Gold standard care"

As part of a recent admission to the Cardiology ward in Ninewells Hospital, I required 2 procedures in the Ninewells Cath Lab within 48hours.

The Cath Lab team provided excellent care…. from the warm, reassuring and understanding welcome, to the kind, caring and considerate preparation, through to the professional, proficient and personal approach to their specialised work…. the entire team was a credit to NHS Tayside.

Given the feelings of slight anxiety and vulnerability that accompany being required to undergo such procedures, I could not have felt more that I was in the hands of truly caring and committed individuals who were experts in their field and who focussed on individualised patient care.

At the time, and still (possibly even more) now, I am extremely grateful to the entire Cath Lab team and wish to pass on my sincere and significant thanks.

What the team does every day (for several patients each day) is, in my experience, gold standard care which should be recognised. The compassion, communication and patient centred working was more than impressive and much much appreciated.
