"My care"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Stroke Services Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Therapies South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as the patient),

Went into hospital with a suspected stroke, we live some distance from the hospital but I was impressed by the swiftness and compassion of the ambulance personnel.

It was not a stroke after all but they kept me in for a couple of days and found it to be problems with my medication.  I also returned as a day patient for a replacement de-fib.

They also arranged for a physiotherapist Lucy to visit and give me exercises.

Overall, very pleased with the service, timing, care and kindness.

We’re glad that during your stay, our team was able to identify and address the medication issues and provide you with the necessary treatment, including the replacement of your defibrillator. It’s wonderful to know that Lucy, our physiotherapist, was able to support your recovery with tailored exercises.
