"Dpp programme opened my eyes"

About: Promoting Well Being / Diabetes Prevention team

(as the patient),

WHAT HAPPENED, Were do I start,

I am one of those persons who are very sceptical of talks and programmes but this one really opened my eyes and understanding of how our bodies work and how they should be nourish,

Humans are not like a plant that you buy, the plant will come with proper feeding instructions and a care label ☺️

But us, we are just happy to eat anything that will taste nice and keep the hunger away,

Thanks to Anne- Marie DPP I have lost a stone since the program started with out really disciplining myself, I was always in the ticking over mode, so I could have easily have double that,

My blood's are good and I feel a lot better and look forward to continuing on my own from what I have learnt, my wife has really come on board as well,

After being on the program for a number of weeks I said the program should be rolled out at primary school level, PEOPLE REALLY DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT THEY SRE PUTTING INTO THEIR BODIES,

A big thank you to Anne,-Marie and the DPP team

Good Afternoon Aodh1950,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience of the Diabetes Prevention Programme.

I am delighted to hear that you have learnt lots of information on how our bodies work and how we can make changes to reduce the risk of diabetes. Congratulations on the success you have had on the programme - brilliant to hear the bloods are down and that you are feeling good too!

We know that lifestyle habits in childhood can track into adulthood so I agree that messages on healthy living are important for all age groups! Be sure to share the DPP messages you have learnt with family and friends.

I will pass your feedback on to Anne-Marie and our wider DPP team and I know they will be delighted.

Wishing you continued success and good health.

Kind Regards,

Kathryn
