My husband, who had stage 4 cancer and had finished all possible treatment, deteriorated very very quickly.
Matthew, Macmillian cancer nurse, contacted the district nursing team who came to visit extremely quickly, without hesitation.
The team, but particularly Carol, were so supportive and took a huge weight off my shoulder. Words cannot express how amazing & helpful they were in just knowing what to do make my husband more comfortable & relieve pressure, which gave me reassurance & reduced my anxiety.
Their professionalism was outstanding, with very appropriate and kind words. I could not have got through this short stage without them. Thank you.
