"Outpatients visit"

About: Royal Hospital for Children and Young People (Edinburgh) / Outpatients

(as a parent/guardian),

The staff are all lovely but my 18m grandson is fast on his feet so perhaps some sort of barrier that is toddler-proof between the waiting area and the doors/lifts could be considered? We spent all of our time stopping him from leaving the department and accessing the lift area.

Also, the benches that have metal angled legs are trip hazards for both adults and children alike. Maybe they should be replaced?

Dear GintsKaz,

Thank you for taking your time to tell us about your recent visit to our Outpatient department. I am pleased to hear you thought the staff were lovely.

Unfortunately a barrier between the department and the main atrium isn't something that is possible. However, I can confirm we are in the process of purchasing new seating which we hope will improve the experience in outpatients.
