"CIU and Neurology QMH"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Clinical Intervention Unit Queen Margaret Hospital / Neurology

(as the patient),

I have been receiving IVIG treatment in the CIU every 5weeks for approx 12 yrs.  This month, August 2025, will be my last IVIG as I am moving on to subcutaneous immunoglobulin treatment.

The nurses in the unit have cared for me exceptionally well and I have felt safe and supported at all times. They are a great group of wonderful, friendly and highly skilled professionals who have carried me through some difficult times. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Dr Lassack, the pharmacists and all others involved, have gone above and beyond and persevered to make it possible for me to have subcut infusions. Thank you all. NHS Fife at its best.

Dear Jinty22

Thankyou for this lovely feedback and taking the time to complete it. It is very much appreciated. I am very happy that you have felt well supported throughout your time in CIU. We always aim to get it right and it is reassuring to know that this has been the case with the care you have received.

I would like to wish you well in your continuing journey with the sub cut injections. I will be sure to share your feedback with all the staff.

Kind Regards

Dawn Ireland

Senior Charge Nurse CIU
