"I was not given antibiotics after losing my baby"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Maternity University Hospital Lewisham / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

My baby did not grow well,

I was told I need to go through an abortion. After the process, the midwife left and never returned till I left,. I was left alone for more than four hours with blood over and had no support to help me clean up or get back on my feet. The next day no doctor or midwife came to see me until 5pm when I rested. I wanted to go home. Finally I was sent home without any antibiotics and was in severe pain for a week crying and unable to sleep.

I had to go to Lewisham A&E when the pain became unbearable. Before then I called Woolwich Hospital (Maternity Dept) to advise them of the pain. No advice was given. When the doctor examined me in Lewisham, he did a scrub test. He found out I was infected. I was then given antibiotics. Within a day's use I was feeling much better. Woolwich Maternity is concerning. I have heard a lot before using their service.
