"Excellent care, wonderful staff"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiac Catherterisation University Hospital Monklands / Acute Medical Receiving Unit University Hospital Monklands / Cardiology/Coronary Care Unit (Ward 18) University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Monklands / Medical Assessment Unit

(as the patient),

I recently had a heart attack and couldn't have got better care. From the ambulance care to Monklands A&E , quickly through to MAU where I was checked and reassured . Great care and support in AMRU then Ward 18, cardiac care. Finally in Cath Lab ward in Hairmyers, where the staff and care was exemplary. They took me through an angiogram with sympathy and dignity  A testament to the NHS. Thank you so much.

Hi Antns77,

I see my colleague Lise from NHS Lanarkshire has responded but I just wanted to add our thanks from the Scottish Ambulance Service for your kind comments and such positive feedback.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent heart attack- that must have been really scary. I'm glad that all the NHS staff were able to take such good care of you and make that experience just a little bit easier.

They all really appreciate getting such positive feedback from patients and their families so thank you for taking the time to write in to pass on your thanks and share your experience.

Most of all, I'm so glad to read that you are now in a better and more positive place now that you've got your health back and looking forward to a great life ahead.

We wish you all the very best,

Take care,

Marie
